Our Story

Bailey's Carpet One is a family & locally owned and operated business.  Our Joliet Store was opened in Aug. 1988 by Lee Bailey.  We joined up with Carpet One in 1992.  We now have three stores located in Joliet, Morris, and Naperville.  We have over 50 employees and Lee's children are the second generation to join the business.   Click Here to get location information and maps.  Below is a little bit about our company and founder.

Awards and Recognitions

• Dealer of the year award from Carpet One in 1996.
• Dealer of the year awards from The Chicago Floor Covering Association in 1996 and 2001.
• Members of the Joliet and Plainfield Chamber of Commerce and Lee serves on the board of directors for the Joliet Chamber.
• Received an award from the Better Business Bureau.....Complaint Free for 2004.

About Lee Bailey

• Lee Bailey served on the Will Grundy Home Builders Association Board of Directors for 25 years and is now a life member of the Board of Directors.  To recognize his dedication they named the Home Builders Associate of the Year award after him.  Now known as the Lee Bailey Associate of the Year award.
• Lee is a past president of the Plainfield Rotary.
• Lee is on the board of directors for the Greater Joliet Area YMCA.
• Lee is on the board of directors for Our Lady Angels Retirement Community.
